Crushing zombie skulls in is so addicting. The graphics incredible, and the detailed damage system on enemies is honestly wild. Love how you can use the environment to burn, electrocute, or dissolve zombies. The main story is a blast, and even clearing out all the side quests doesn't feel like a chore because the gameplay loop is just that good!!!!

Having played through the first Dead Island and then Riptide back to back, this game is unironically an upgrade in every single way. From the sheer satisfaction of killing zombies to well, everything being objectively better. The only sin is that this runs on Unreal Engine and my Personal Computer hates Unreal Engine, it wants to beat Unreal Engine to DEATH with HAMMERS and then drench it with ACID and BURN it ALIVE.

The autosave timing choice in this game is idiotic. Saves when you die, so you restart behind the 8 ball - without any of the healthpacks you had the first time around. If I couldn't do it with health, how the hell am I meant to do it without them?

Crushing zombie skulls in is so addicting. The graphics incredible, and the detailed damage system on enemies is honestly wild. Love how you can use the environment to burn, electrocute, or dissolve zombies. The main story is a blast, and even clearing out all the side quests doesn't feel like a chore because the gameplay loop is just that good!!!!

Dead Island 2 nails that sun-drenched, B-movie zombie extermination vibe without missing a beat. The combat is punchy, visceral, and genuinely satisfying thanks to a gore system that turns every improvised weapon into a work of art. Plowing through HELL-A never really gets old, making it a stellar playground for tracking down achievements and wringing every last hour out of the apocalypse.
