Marathon open week extended and progression update
Bungie extended Marathon's open week to June 11: the game can be tried for free, and everyone who logs in gets 50 SILK as compensation for server downtime. A wave of cheater bans also went out, along with fixes to progression and loot economy systems.

Season 2 is live
Season 2 has launched in Marathon: the night map Night Marsh, the defensive runner Sentinel, the Cradle progression system, the new KKV-9SD weapon and D54 Battle Pistol, new enemies, and the experimental Sponsored Survival mode. The game is free to play through June 9.

Fun game. Can't wait for the PVE experimental mode, so I don't always have to be on the verge of a heart attack.

I played the game for a little bit and liked it, but I recently moved to Linux as my main OS and can no longer play the game due to anti-cheat restrictions. I reserve my Windows partition for work. Please enable Linux support for BattlEye. Steam has a BattlEye client for Proton that other games support. This would also let people play Marathon on the Steam Deck and Steam Machine.

Never thought I'd play an extraction shooter, but I decided to try Marathon because of the aesthetics and art direction of the game. Turns out it's a lot of fun to play; the gunplay and movement is so polished and slick. It makes for a very cohesive experience between art and gameplay.

One of the worst UI experiences I’ve ever tried to play with. Unintuitive and with a controller feels like a total afterthought. You are thrown into a few dozen loadout choices immediately and if you take time to read about your loot you’ll probably die. Maybe you can get used to it but the juice doesn’t feel worth the squeeze.

the most unique artstyle i've seen since the late 2000's. very well done extraction shooter that balances itself somewhere between casual and semi hardcore. gunplay on point, as with every bungie game ever.

ไม่เคยเล่นเกมแนว Extraction shooter มาก่อน (เคยลอง Hunt showdown กับ Delta force แล้วรู้สึกไม่ชอบ) แล้วมาเปิดใจเกมนี้รู้สึกชอบมาก มีความไซไฟ สีสดๆ ใครคุ้นเคย Destiny2 คงเข้าใจได้ไม่ยาก ยังไงขอให้มันพัฒนาไปเรื่อยๆครับ
