Time to cut the lights: Season 2 has begun in Marathon. Players get Night Marsh — a pitch-dark version of Dire Marsh with new threats — the defensive runner Sentinel for battlefield control, the Cradle system for seasonal stat and perk progression, and new weapons: the KKV-9SD and the D54 Battle Pistol.
The season opens with the experimental Sponsored Survival mode (June 2–9): only one team drops onto the map, solo newcomers are added later, and the only way out is a final evacuation after 18 minutes. Truce or a fight at the exit — your call.
Later in the season: Cryo Archive returns June 11, a ranked mode with new rewards arrives June 14, and at least one more experimental PvE mode is coming. The open week runs through June 9 — play free, and your progress carries over if you buy the game.
