There is a starting death tax that takes 40% gold and resources for dying or abandoning run. There is a way to reduce it, however it’s buried in Chapel upgrades that are not available until late-early or mid-game. ...

a lot of improvements since the game came out. looking forward to the new DLC. really appreciate the ability to leave a multiplayer game and come back to it on a later date with no issues.

There is a starting death tax that takes 40% gold and resources for dying or abandoning run. There is a way to reduce it, however it’s buried in Chapel upgrades that are not available until late-early or mid-game. To avoid completely, need to do multiple hour full clear that is not possible at early game. It really sucks to watch a good portion of what you have collected get deleted, just as a way to slow down progression.

From the experience of a party of 4: The game itself is fun... for a rather short whole. My party cleared the game in ~12 hours, IIRC. It doesn't have a lot of content, so it compensates for its lack of content with rogue-lite elements and becomes repetitive real fast after the first time it's been beaten. Not a bad game, assuming you'd buy this at a discount. I wouldn't play this solo at full price, however.
