Kinda janky and lots of running from place to place, but overall I enjoyed the story and the combat is decent. Would recommend picking it up on sale

Came for the €3.49 sale. Stayed for the political intrigue, companion quests, and a certain northern English mercenary. The animations are... doing their best. The writing is doing the heavy lifting. Not the best game I've ever played. Not the worst either.

I like the premise but the execution falls flat on its face. My biggest complaints are technical: 1. The "ally" AI's don't function. They kind of help in combat if they aren't running off to engage creatures near by who aren't in the fight, drawing them in, and making it even harder. 2. You can't rebind any keys if your using a controller These two technical issues have successfully kept me from enjoying the game.

From the get go game play is smooth and the main quests, and side quests play into each other with side quests being optional. Biggest and best part that i've found tho is the character customization, so many different items you can equipeven from early on in game.

Dull and bland is the best way to summarize this experience. Rarely has a game been so overly ambitous while delivering so little. I was mostly bored and never felt engaged in the story or the characters as all I witnessed are a lot of unused potential and almost comicly clicheé writing. Many places and characters being simple copy-pastes of others did the rest. Coming from playing the first two Witchers games and a long track record with RPGs in general I'm very disappointed.
