FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE is a bold reimagining of the original FINAL FANTASY VII, originally released in 1997, developed under the guidance of the original key developers.
This critically-acclaimed game, which mixes traditional command-based combat and real-time action, makes its Steam debut along with FF7R EPISODE INTERmission─a new story arc featuring Yuffie Kisaragi.
■STORY
By exploiting mako, the life-blood of the planet, through their mako reactors, the Shinra Electric Power Company has all but seized control of the entire world. A ragtag group of idealists, known as Avalanche, are one of the last bastions of resistance.
Cloud, an elite SOLDIER operative-turned-mercenary takes part in an Avalanche operation to destroy Mako Reactor 1 in the city of Midgar.
The bombing plunges the city into fiery chaos, and Cloud is tormented by visions of a bitter enemy long thought dead.
Once more begins a story that will shape the destiny of an entire world.
* This game is a remake of FINAL FANTASY VII, first released in 1997.
The first title in a multi-part series, it is based on the story from the original game, up to the escape from Midgar, adding in new elements.

Great, except for the endings. Terrible endings. But I'm willing to overlook that since the game is fun and it literalizes the audience as a force of "whispers" that prevent characters from changing the "true timeline".
Is this a game or a video? Walk 5 steps, watch a 5 minute cutscene. Walk 5 steps. watch a new 10 minute cutscene. Walk 10 steps, yet another 5minute cutscene. Just let me play the game.
This is a 6 hour game masking as a 30 hour game by making you waste as much time as possible trying to navigate an onslaught of tight space crawls, forced walk dialogue sections, and hidden loading screens.
Pretty graphics, good optimization, nice characters, awesome voice acting (JP), awful and stupid combat system, no keyboard/mouse support and basically no plot. Music is great, but quite often have no sense for a scen...

Peak combat that mixes strategy and hack and slash, even gives souls-like play for some bosses. Basically 30-40 hrs of delicious combat, graphics, dramas and story made by only a 3hrs of the original FF7. Can't wait to play REBIRTH (which is continues game)

Is this a game or a video? Walk 5 steps, watch a 5 minute cutscene. Walk 5 steps. watch a new 10 minute cutscene. Walk 10 steps, yet another 5minute cutscene. Just let me play the game.

So far this is a great RPG experience. Side quests already have me grinding my way through the system, learning it thoroughly as I explore the world's environments while enjoying the storytelling. Of course it does the original justice so far as well. Recommended for newcomers to the series who enjoy action RPGs. Not overly complicated, but enjoyable and satisfying.

This is a 6 hour game masking as a 30 hour game by making you waste as much time as possible trying to navigate an onslaught of tight space crawls, forced walk dialogue sections, and hidden loading screens.

Pretty graphics, good optimization, nice characters, awesome voice acting (JP), awful and stupid combat system, no keyboard/mouse support and basically no plot. Music is great, but quite often have no sense for a scene. In the end it's just very overrated. Not great, not terrible.
