Warriors! ⚔️
Welcome to the Gloria Victis Weekly News!
In last week news, we share our Autumn and Winter Seasonal Roadmap, giving you all a look at some of the features and improves we're currently working toward.
This week, we're taking you deeper into that work.
Development on Easy Anti-Cheat is underway, and we're sharing our first detailed look at the Greenleaf Centre, including the Checklist System, Compendium, Mentor System improvements, referral mechanics, and changes we're exploring for the first-time player experience.
We also have the winners of Guilds of Gloria Victis, our latest Community Spotlight winners, and a reminder as the Glory Season of War approaches its end.
Grab something to drink. This one's a long one. ☕📜
Let's get into it!

Easy Anti-Cheat: Work is Underway 🛡️
As outlined in our Autumn Roadmap, the Easy Anti-Cheat implementation is currently being worked on.
Maintaining a fair and enjoyable competitive environment for legitimate players remains an important part of our development plans for Gloria Victis.
There's still work to be done before implementation, but we wanted to let you know that development is actively underway.
We'll share more information about Easy Anti-Cheat as the work progresses.
---
Greenleaf Centre: A First Look 🌿
One of the features we're currently targeting for Autumn is the Greenleaf Centre.
Today, we want to give you a much deeper look at what we're working toward and, more importantly, hear what you think about it.
Gloria Victis has a lot to discover. From combat, crafting, PvP, exploration, guilds, rankings, gathering, and many other mechanics are connected throughout the game. For our veteran Warriors, many of these systems have become second nature.
For someone stepping onto the battlefield for the first time, however, discovering everything Gloria Victis has to offer can be overwhelming.
The Greenleaf Centre is being designed as a central place where players can find guidance about the game, its systems, and its mechanics.
While it is especially intended to help new players, returning Warriors will also be able to use it to rediscover features, revisit information, and find activities they may have missed.
Our current plans for the Greenleaf Centre revolve around three major systems:
📋 Checklist System
📖 Compendium System
🤝 Revitalised Mentor System
We're also working on improvements to the overall First-Time User Experience.
Let's take a closer look.
---
The Checklist System 📋
Gloria Victis features numerous interconnected systems spread across different parts of the game.
However, new players often find these options overwhelming or difficult to discover. Simply telling them that these systems exist isn't always enough.
That's where the Checklist System comes in.
The Checklist System is planned to become one of the core features of the Greenleaf Centre, providing structured guidance through important activities and mechanics.
Rather than functioning purely as a list of tutorials, this System will combine several different types of tasks or activities. Players will be able to learn about a feature, put that knowledge into practice, discover key game mechanics and events, and receive additional rewards along the way.
The Checklist System is currently planned to feature these different types of activities:
Tutorial 📖
Review and dismiss an instructional popup or contextual guide.
Video 🎥
Watch a short instructional or showcase video.
Achievements 🏆
Reach a defined progression milestone or unlock an existing achievement.
Together, these different action types allow the Checklist System to do more than simply tell players what exist.
The idea is to let players learn about a system, experience it themselves, and progress through the game while doing so.
--
Four Paths to Explore
The Checklist System is currently divided into four categories:
- Combat ⚔️
- Exploration 🗺️
- Socialisation 🤝
- Artisanship 🔨
Each category contains activities designed to introduce players to an important part of Gloria Victis. Once a category is completed, they will also receive a final reward for completing that path.
The general flow we're exploring is simple:
Learn → Try → Progress
At the beginning, players will meet with a Feature Overview explaining a particular game mechanic or event.
After learning how it works, they may receive a Quest asking them to participate in that activity themselves.
Instead of simply reading about Gloria Victis, we want players to experience what the game has to offer.
--
What Could Be in the Checklist? 👀
We would like to share with you and know your opinion about what we have already devised for the Checklist System and what we think is important to show and mention to new and returning players.

We Want Your Feedback 💬
You know Gloria Victis.
Some of you have fought thousands of battles, crafted countless pieces of equipment, led guilds, conquered castles, explore the world, and helped new Warriors learn the game yourselves.
So we want to hear from you.
We would like to hear your feedback and ideas on what we should mention in the checklist and compendium system, and which game mechanic, system, or event is key to understanding Gloria Victis from your player perspective.
If you want to share your ideas, feel free to join our official Discord and check out the Greenleaf Centre feedback channel: https://discord.com/invite/gloriavictisgame

The Compendium 📖
Sometimes you don't need another quest.
You just need to know how something works.
The Compendium is being designed as a place where players can explore Gloria Victis' mechanics, available activities, and features in greater detail. Additionally, they will find up-to-date tips here and can revisit previously viewed tutorial screens at any time.
Just like the Checklist, information in the Compendium will be organised into four categories:
- Combat ⚔️
- Exploration 🗺️
- Socialisation 🤝
- Artisanship 🔨
Within each category, players will be able to learn about the core and key elements of the game.
The goal is to create a place players can return to whenever they need information instead of relying on remembering a tutorial they may have seen hours, days, or months earlier.
---
Revitalising the Mentor System 🤝
The Greenleaf Centre isn't only about teaching players through menus and tutorials.
Gloria Victis is a multiplayer game, and some of the best teachers are other Warriors.
That's why we're also exploring a significant update to the Mentor System.
Currently, mentors receive rewards only in mentor points, and only after the mentee reaches a certain character level. This encourages a passive attitude toward new players rather than engaging in activities that reward mentors and teach mentees about the game.
We want to change that.
Our current plans include:
- 🎁 Exclusive rewards based on accumulated Mentor Points
- 📊 Clearer information about Mentor Point progression and benefits
- ⚔️ More ways to earn Mentor Points through cooperative play
- 🌿 A dedicated Mentor View within the Greenleaf Centre
- 🔗 A new Referral Mechanism
--
Earning Mentor Points Together
We're currently exploring three primary ways for mentors to earn Mentor Points.
Cooperative Play
Mentors could earn points while actively playing alongside their mentees through activities such as:
- Mentee level-ups while actively grouped
- Shared PvP kills and assists
- Gathering resources together in proximity
Mentee Milestones
Mentors could also earn points when their mentees reach important progression milestones, including:
- Reaching Levels 30, 60, 80, and 100 in any crafting profession
- Reaching Character Level 100
Community Support
We're also exploring a way for new players to directly recognise helpful veteran players.
New Warriors could award commendations for helpful responses in the dedicated Help chat, providing another way for experienced players to earn Mentor Points by supporting the community.
--
Mentor View & Referral System 🔗
A dedicated Mentor View is planned for the Greenleaf Centre, allowing mentees to track shared progress and award points directly to their mentor.
We're also exploring a Referral Mechanism.
Existing players would be able to generate and share a unique invite code with prospective players.
When a new player enters a referral code while creating an account, they will be guided toward where their mentor is playing and automatically become that player's mentee.
To unlock the ability to become a mentor and receive an invite code, a player would first need to reach Level 100 on at least one character on their account.
The goal is to make it easier for experienced Warriors to bring friends into Gloria Victis and help them begin their journey together.
---
Improving the First-Time User Experience 🌱
The Greenleaf Centre is only one part of what we're looking at for new players.
Based on our observations and player feedback, we understand that new users find the initial moments with the game too daunting due to an absence of immediate onboarding that would show and explain the basics.
To improve the player’s first-time impressions and onboarding process, we will introduce a clear and proactive onboarding window to ensure that players better understand the game’s UI elements and small features such as a free mouse cursor.
Upon logging into the game for the first time, players will be greeted with an onboarding window screen that will teach about basic elements and help configure baseline controls.
---
Building Greenleaf Together 🌿
The Greenleaf Centre is still a work in progress, and what we've shared today represents our current direction rather than the final version.
That's also why we're showing it to you now.
The Checklist and Compendium are ultimately intended to help players understand what Gloria Victis has to offer, but veteran Warriors already have years of knowledge and experience that can help us determine what information matters most.
What should every new Warrior know?
Take a look through the Checklist ideas above and tell us:
💬 What are we missing?
💬 What should be changed?
💬 What should every new player experience?
💬 Which systems or mechanics need better explanations?
💬 What do you wish someone had taught you when you first started playing?
Join the discussion on our official Discord and share your thoughts in the Greenleaf Centre feedback channel:
We'll continue sharing more as development progresses.
