Set in a fictitious continent reminiscent of the 1930s, Valkyria Chronicles depicts Europa, divided and ruled by two super powers: the Empire and the Federation. The Empire has set its sights on invading the principality Gallia, which shares its borders with the two superpowers, in an attempt to secure an invaluable natural resource, Ragnite. Within this struggle a hero named Welkin, and his fellow soldiers of the Gallian Militia, ‘Squad 7’ are fighting back against the invasion and the Empire’s attempts to unify the continent under its power.
During the ensuing war, Squad 7 discovers that the Empire possesses a secret weapon, known as the “Valkyrur” – an ancient race with special powers thought to exist only in legends. With this new discovery, the fate of Gallia’s ability to defeat the Empire and save the lives of the Gallian citizens…

8/10 before I played Valkyria Chronicles 4 this would easily have been a 9/10 or higher. Very solid entry but some normal JRPG cheesyness in the story, but still an excellent game. A ton of fun with the fights even if...
The RPG part of this game really makes any strategy almost useless. Also, the game's lots of bugs and unclear missions. But the story and the graphic's really good so i guess i like it? Whish it had an actual remake.
This game is nearly perfect if you can stomach the abrasive anime melodrama.
Good game but save is hidden, found out I had to start over which yeah sucks pretty hard by now, probably gonna try to find a save game or leave it here

8/10 before I played Valkyria Chronicles 4 this would easily have been a 9/10 or higher. Very solid entry but some normal JRPG cheesyness in the story, but still an excellent game. A ton of fun with the fights even if the first time through you have to grind a bit to level up soldiers and gear. Highly recommend playing, it a steal on sale and bundling with 4 is even better as 4 is best in serries.

Good game but save is hidden, found out I had to start over which yeah sucks pretty hard by now, probably gonna try to find a save game or leave it here
