A timeless classic that introduced some of the first destructible environments to gaming right at the dawn of the 2000s. Running it through again in such high definition has been one heck of a trip down nostalgia lane...

Posting a positive review to balance out the guy who called this a Half-Life clone but turned off comments because criticism hurts feelings, I guess. This pioneered destructible environments, has a completely different plot, takes place on a completely different planet, uses different physics, and incorporates vehicles for both land and water. If by "clone" you mean "FPS that also had similar era-specific graphics and era-specific FPS control feel," sure buddy, it's a clone.

Running it through again in such high definition has been one heck of a trip down nostalgia lane and it helped define the early era of console FPS games. Everything from the soundtrack to the level designs are interesting and gritty and it would be amazing to see this game remade..... well if they truly stick to the original script and material anyway.
