You play as Yaga, a 16-year-old girl accused of witchcraft and expelled from a medieval Slavic settlement. When living memories of your past return as foul, walking spirits, you are left with no other option than to hunt them down in hopes of unravelling your own mystery.

As a Slavic person I really enjoyed the world, folklore and storytelling included. The combat system is quite fun. You slowly unlock more skills and it gives you nice feeling of progression. The only downside is that the world is quite large and you have only a little fast travel options. During some quest paths I found myself quite running around. Played most of it on SteamDeck and must say it is perfectly optimized for it.

it's a slow start, but if you're patient with it then you figure out what the game wants from you pretty quickly. i enjoyed exploring the wacky world and i loved the slavic folklore. i didn't love the ending, but that actually wasn't a dealbreaker for me because i had so much fun with the rest of the game.
