For the first time ever Stronghold: Warlords allows you to recruit, upgrade and command AI lords across the battlefield in the form of in-game ‘Warlords’. Each warlord under your command boosts your strategic prowess with unique perks, characteristics and upgradeable abilities. The game really isn't bad. All the reviews are just comparing it to stronghold 2 and stronghold crusader 1, but not everyone have been playing the stronghold series 20+ years. Personally I tried stronghold 1 DE and while I do agree that is a good game, I found it a bit too "old" for my liking. This game is beautiful and good, if you actually know how to adapt to a different stronghold game... Long story short. If you don't like it then it is mostly a failure to adapt or you are too nostalgic.

i wanted to love it so much, all the major bugs have been fixed, the only issue is that the game is still not fun, campaign missions are quite short and you don't have time or reason to build a proper castle, economy gampaign is a glorified puzzle... stronghold 1 and stronghold crusaders are still the only good strongholds.....

Idk why people are saying this game is bad. This game was absolutely fantastic!!! It redeemed itself from failure launch of SH3 and SHC2...I have played both game and it was disappointing and buggy. But this game should be a praise for their attempt to recover of their failure. I much recommend to give it a try and please, do not compare to a masterpiece of SH1, SHC, SH2 and SH Legends. I know it is far from perfect but at least they are fixing it.
