If you enjoy hardcore rpgs, this may just be the game for you. As someone who feels very neutral about hardcore rpgs, all other aspects of the game, the story, the map exploration, and the characters were just... okay...

it's good in aspects SMT should be good at(good team building/gestion experience, very damn strict and unforgiving, great OST) but as a game released in 2021 this is not it its story and characters are so boring and uninspired it feels like they didn't even try level design and bosses are subpar too a [b] 5.8/10 [/b] would be fair

If you enjoy hardcore rpgs, this may just be the game for you. As someone who feels very neutral about hardcore rpgs, all other aspects of the game, the story, the map exploration, and the characters were just... okay. So not the game for me. If you're interested, at least try out the demo first.

cool 3d model demons, has a good storyline however lacks character depth. COC Tao.... LOL Other than that Canon of Vengeance improves the storyline of COC. But still has some plotholes in later acts of the story. Cool dungeons and qaditsu divas! (writing this review after getting all of the achievements and spent 117 hours on this game including me accidently being afk while on the save screen LOL)

I've beaten the original SMT5 Nintendo Switch release and the SMT5V Nintendo Switch release at least 5 times total, and finally grabbed the PC version for modding purposes. I love this game, it's one of my favorite Megaten games, and the added alt path fixed most of my gripes with the main story.
