Description

Graveyard Keeper is the most inaccurate medieval cemetery management sim of all time. Build and manage your own graveyard, and expand into other ventures, while finding shortcuts to cut costs. Use all the resources you can find. After all, this is a game about the spirit of capitalism, and doing whatever it takes to build a thriving business. And it’s also a love story.

  • Face ethical dilemmas. Do you really want to spend money on that proper burger meat for the witch-burning festival, when you have so many resources lying around?
  • Gather valuable materials and craft new items. Expand your Graveyard into a thriving business. Help yourself -- gather the valuable resources scattered across the surrounding areas, and explore what this land has to offer.
  • Quests and corpses. These dead bodies don't need all those organs, do they? Why not grind them up and sell them to the local butcher? Or you can go on proper quests, you roleplayer.
  • Explore mysterious dungeons. No medieval game would be complete without those! Take a trip into the unknown, and find discover new alchemy ingredients -- which may or may not poison a whole bunch of nearby villagers.

The gameplay mechanics are top tier, the story is mid, and the ending is abysmal. That said, the core gameplay loop of managing the graveyard had me hooked so bad I have to recommend it to anyone who's really into management sims.

A great casual game with slightly dark humor and an awesome story. I often found myself waiting for a specific weekday, only to realize, that I missed it again, when immersed doing something else. If you are a perfectionist, you can expect several dozen or even hundreds of hours per playthrough.

I love all type of crafting games, but this one is complex for nothing. the day is too short, not enough stamina for do NOTHING, i'm struggeling to get some information. The first quest was almost a end quest! don't waste your time on that game.

Oh what a game. Played during COVID and gosh it gave me a new found love for Pixel Graphics type games. Story is pretty good albeit don't buy the DLC sporadically like me otherwise it can be a little convoluted. I encourage to get them all if you can as they all blend well. But if I had to choose Stranger sins and Game of Crone really amplify the game from it's current state whereas Better Save Soul seemed a bit of a chore.
