Great Game sadly dlc is expensive but there are ways still one of most fun games mods are needed in my opinion though i get realllllly unlucky with claims

A wonderful game if CK3 was too cartoony/role-play focused for you. I'm a diehard EU4 fan and CK2 was much more in line with that in terms of UI, gameplay systems, etc. I find the content is also a little bit more in-depth than CK3, but that's because the game has been out for so long. Give CK3 a few more years and it'll be as deep. All in all, CK2 is a good fit for you if you enjoy map-painting and combat more than role-playing.

Pretty unfriendly to new players. Tried the "learning scenario"... it just said it's 1066 do what you feel like and offered no explanation beyond that. I'm all for complicated gameplay, but damn give me a chance to start.
