The Story of Suikoden I
A once renowned hero turns into a violent tyrant, and an empire falls into decline.

One by one the 108 stars of Destiny gather to shape the course of history.
The Story of Suikoden II
Our story's hero and his friend Jowy are members of the Unicorn Youth Brigade, which participated in a drawn-out border dispute between the Highland Kingdom and the City-States of Jowston .
A few months earlier, a truce agreement was signed between the two forces, both of which were happy to see an end to the fighting.
However, hidden under the momentary peace the fires of a new war continued to smolder…

I've always wanted to dive into the Suikoden series. Having finally taken the plunge and completing both SI & SII remasters I'd definitely recommend to any gamer who enjoys a classic, well executed, JRPG.

Two classic JRPG bangers with updated visuals, that's it. The visual design is sharper and higher resolution, but it would be nice to have a classic visual toggle. Not much has been updated in either game besides the visuals, so legacy annoyances like inventory management (Suikoden I) and random battles persist. Minor quibbles aside, these games are still fun and worth a look for JRPG fans.

One of my all-time favorites. The only things I don't like about this format is it doesn't go full-screen (for me) and if I have Google Play on my PC in the background, my controller still interacts with that while I am playing this, so I have to close Google Plat while I am on this.
