if you're reading this, just go straight to Shadow Generations, don't even bother to check Sonic Generations, you just won't believe how much tears i spilled, it's still a good game, just a hard and punishing one (thats for Sonic Generations). HOWEVER, go check out Shadow Generations

It's actually the best Sonic game I've played. It also runs at a stable 60 FPS even on low graphics settings, which is a huge plus for Broke Gamers like Me. However, Sonic and Shadow are not kissing each other false marketing.
