Help a mysterious artist uncover his enigmatic past and unleash your creativity in shield painting. Henry encounters a quirky painter, who draws him into a web of intricate plans, pushing his skills to its limit in finding solutions.
In a series of quests - spanning both maps of the Kingdom Come: Deliverance II world - Henry must find, persuade (and sometimes eliminate), a host of familiar and unfamiliar characters to help his new friend complete the most important painting of his life. Discover the answers to the many questions that surround this mysterious character. Who and what is he? How does he know so much? And why does he carry around a painted human skull?
In addition to new quests, Henry can also gain brand-new shield designs for his work, with over 100 unique designs and colour combinations to choose from.
Brushes with Death is the first expansion for Kingdom Come: Deliverance II and included for Expansion Pass and Gold Edition owners.

While I’m someone typically story driven and immersed, I require more. The DLC really makes you work for answers which is more annoying than fun. The quests are fetch quests primarily. They could’ve done more with the...

It's something to do, not much unique things. Glorified fetch quests that have you running across the map 50 times especially in hardcore mode

You get lots of unique armor, like a hellish basinet which has the highest helmet rating, the best armored breastplate in the game and the drippiest noblemans jacket, and the ability to have custom painted shields.

I consider KCD 2 a masterpiece and I think this DLC is awful. It captures everything I think Warhorse does poorly. In an essence you do 10 hours of fetch quests, with boring dialogues with old slightly unhinged men in...

While I’m someone typically story driven and immersed, I require more. The DLC really makes you work for answers which is more annoying than fun. The quests are fetch quests primarily. They could’ve done more with the story and the painter. Missed opportunity to also have him paint your armor or other items too. Overall, it’s worth a couple bucks at most if you LOVE the game and want to explore all content, even then, it might not be fun still lol.

I consider KCD 2 a masterpiece and I think this DLC is awful. It captures everything I think Warhorse does poorly. In an essence you do 10 hours of fetch quests, with boring dialogues with old slightly unhinged men in between and get zero conclusion or resolution to the "story". Don't be me, skip this.
