Hotline Miami is a high-octane action game overflowing with raw brutality, hard-boiled gunplay and skull crushing close combat. Set in an alternative 1989 Miami, you will assume the role of a mysterious antihero on a murderous rampage against the shady underworld at the behest of voices on your answering machine. Soon you'll find yourself struggling to get a grip of what is going on and why you are prone to these acts of violence.
Rely on your wits to choreograph your way through seemingly impossible situations as you constantly find yourself outnumbered by vicious enemies. After playing this I learnt I don't like top down shooters, but the music is a 10/10

One of the best games I've ever played, I love how brutal and difficult it is, it feels like every level youre beating just by the skin of your teeth. 10/10!
This game blows, it crashes all the time and is generally just a buggy slog. Enemies phase through doors, the AI is some of the stupidest I've ever seen, and the story is lame as hell

This game is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ awesome. Buying this game is not a mistake. It's fun, interactive, and has one hell of a story. The characters in the story are much more complex that I had thought. Give the game a chance, its on sale as of writing this, and even when its not on sale, its a must buy, especially since the second game is a hidden masterpiece.

I guess I can understand why people might like a game like this, but this is very much a case of 'not for me'. Don't like the visuals, don't like the gameplay. Gave it a shot, but at my screen size the pixel art looks more like watching someone frantically rearranging a chess board while you're on LSD, and there is nothing in the game that makes me want to endure that for more than the couple of minutes that I gave it.

Absolutely amazing game, honestly the most fun I've had with a single player game since Rdr2. Learning the game is an absolute blast, combat is clean and well designed and the soundtrack is one of the best game soundtracks out there. Money well spent, would do again.
