final fantasy is the best at telling tragic love stories. squall is one of the most well-written protagonists in the series. realistic, complex and someone you can relate to. i’d love to see a remake. just because it’s an older game doesn’t mean it’s bad, and if you’ve enjoyed other final fantasy games you should definitely give this one a try!

This ♥♥♥♥ is a literal mess. It crashes constantly. I'm trying way harder than I should have to to play a nearly 30 year old game. Even getting this on a steep discount its just a shocking level of terrible for a port of a game let alone a remaster. Who the hell signed off on this getting released as a "remaster"? Anyway...At this point I'm left with either save scumming my way through this dumpster fire or buying and modding the 2013 release. Fix yo sh't square.

IF you play on PC it plays great. Classic FF8 experience with added stuff to make the progression faster. However if it is not STEAM DECK VERIFIED. It does not run on the steam deck. It will crash and reset back to the main menu after a few minutes of gameplay. Until then i cannot recommend it unless you only play on PC
