This game taught me a valuable lesson in which not everyone comes out alive, heroes can and will die whether you tried your damned-est or not. But that's the beauty in it, it forces you to think, to make decisions you may or may not want to make. 10/10 would recommend

Extremely RNG-dependent and several mechanics end up being the complete and undisputed meta(stuns and high speed), leading to specific combinations and playstyles being objectively the best while others are heavily punished and result in tedious gameplay with large setbacks

Not sure why I first picked up this game ten years after release, but it's become one of my favorites. I'm playing with all of the currently available DLC, and I think it's really made the game so much more fun. All the weird mechanics and weird quirks have just made it more interesting, and I'm SUPER looking forward to the new DLC in August. More weird mechanics! Let's go!

No amount of knowledge of the systems of this game will make the dice rolls of feel fun. If its this frustrating for the first 4 hours I am out. Two out of three of my attacks miss, enemies seem to crit 50% of the time. Spamming attacks that increase stress. Stress reduction moves dont do enough. Like I just am not having fun. Not once did i feel lucky, every round was like a perfect situation to maximally screw me over. Like getting struck by lightning every time you see a damn cloud.
