The story definitely isn't as strong as the first game, but the improved combat completely makes up for it. Gunplay feels way tighter, the new weapons are awesome, and the horde/arcade mode is super addicting. If you ...

As a huge fan of original Alan Wake. Alan Wake's American Nightmare is a fantastic bite-sized action fix that trades pure psychological horror for pure unadulterated pulp fun. Recommend it....

The story definitely isn't as strong as the first game, but the improved combat completely makes up for it. Gunplay feels way tighter, the new weapons are awesome, and the horde/arcade mode is super addicting. If you liked the core mechanics of Alan Wake and just want more refined gameplay, it's totally worth playing.
