Description

On the way to Jericho City, your plane is shot down by a mysterious storm and crash-lands in the outskirts. You wake up weeks later in a derelict detention facility inside the city. Armor-clad soldiers enforce Martial Law, robots are on a rampage, and a dark, expanding nanostorm looms over the cityscape...

With an expanded arsenal of weapons, armors, abilities, implants, and drones to build your character, and a bigger, more varied and more ambitious world, The Surge 2 challenges you to survive and unravel its hidden secrets.

In a bid to survive, explore the sprawling, devastated city of Jericho. The Surge 2 delivers polished gameplay, rewarding progression, and some of the best melee combat in the Souls-like genre

Better than the first in just about every way. Very tight Sci-fi souls-like. Interesting combat, world design is sick, overstays its welcome a bit in the last act, but easily worth playing through. Good F****** Food/10

what the hell did I just play? We went from Warren surviving a corporate hell hole discovering the truth to, mc being called cringe names and a plot and tone so radically different you would assume new people made forgetting what the 1st game was.

Really fun gameplay wise and a step up from the first one in that regard. Doesnt hide that armor sets have set bonuses unlike Surge 1. Unfortunately Surge 2 doesnt have the same location vibe as S1 did in a masterful way. there are some cool locations but the lighting and color filter makes them feel very lackluster.

I really wanted to like this game. I gave it multiple chances, kept telling myself "it'll click eventually." It never did. It has this weird ability to make everything feel like a chore. Even when something interesting was happening, it somehow felt... flat. The combat is decent but the level design is boring, but I can see why some people enjoy it... for me it was just painfully boring. I lost the battle long before I lost my scrap.
