Your truck is not a starship. We’ve taken typical vehicular controls then made sure zero-g momentum played a big part in maneuvers. The result is a unique driving experience that’s easy to pick up yet hard to master!
Cruise the hyper highways, taking on a variety of jobs such as fuel hungry long hauls and hazardous drop-offs to earn cash and unlock new content.
And don't forget to monitor the CB radio for chatter from fellow truckers; it's a fantastic way to uncover side gigs and stay updated on galactic gossip.
Keeping your rig runnin’ isn’t always easy. You’ll need to keep your core systems online, gravity compensator spinnin’ and hull patched to prevent your cab from leaking lung juice.
Be sure to make pre-trip shop stops for replacement parts, and consider upgrading your truck at a local garage. These improvements are vital for safely navigating volatile sectors and ensuring timely deliveries.
Use the galactic map to plan your journey and warp jumps, while keeping an eye on your fuel reserves and power levels.
Once your route is set, kick back, crank up the cab hi-fi and cruise to a selection of original songs covering starburst blues, galactic rock and asteroid infused americana. The open road is waiting!

I'd put it neutral if I could, because I think I just don't "get" the game. I like other sim games like Euro Truck sim, American Truck sim and flight sims, but I just don't get this one. Its just driving from jump gate to jump gate in an almost straight line, replacing batteries as they run out of charge (with no way to recharge them and they're stupid expensive) and replacing other parts in the truck. The docking mechanic is quite fun though

For a 2 year old game it is still riddled with janky mechanics. The manual says one thing and the reality and the way the world feels is not the best. Shame for what is fun but becomes annoying

Game performs poorly on my machine, but my machine is outdated, and it still performs at the same level as other games I ended up requesting a refund becuase I can't handle the controls well with my hands, but they are intuitive, and everything is clearly explained and very well designed, if you want to feel like a trucker in space, yeah this'll do it in hindsight, I think I'm going to try again, but take it a lot slower, when I have the money to buy it again

Decent trucking sim. You can add custom radio stations (181.fm, iHEART) to your truck's radio. You just need to copy/paste the station's stream URL into a .txt file. Super cool feature. More immersive. Also (good) fully voiced story missions was a pleasant surprise.

tl;dr: ok. Verdict: 2 of 4 random asteroids damaging your space truck. Yes, i like transport sims. Star trucker is one, as much as a transport repairing and restocking sim. Plus. or minus: You get to cosplay a US-truck driver from the 70s, in space. If you like this concept, buy Space Trucker at a sale. If not, don't buy it at all. I'd prefer it to be more scifi, less retro, but, well, it is what it is.

Does not work with the G29 on Linux. The wheel does not work and is instead treated like a digital switch. I cannot stop spinning if I bind my wheel to turn. The pedals are messed up too. The only solution I had was to use a software to remap the wheel to a controller stick. Still it feels wrong. I ended up using the paddles and skip the wheel. It's probably the thruster setup. It looks like a good game but if I can't get it to work...
