I really really really want to like this game, but it just always grinds to a slog every time I sit down to give it another shot. I think the developers are so close to striking gold, but not quite.

So far, a nice gentle time-sink with a music beats that keeps you playing. The play is easy enough to pick up, but I feel I am missing a ton of stuff that only time and experience will give. I also feel I have learned the face of Mars. Picked it up in the recent sale. I didn't realise the Blue Mars DLC was not part of the offering, but that is not vital for the end. But I can see what that would open up.

The story and the logistics mechanics weren't really doing it for me by the time I reached the mark where I stopped playing; while the AI angle is cool from a narrative point of the view the storyline just... felt off and shallow. And the less I talk about the logistics of Per Aspera the better as it was infuriating to a certain extent which may be bad on my side for not understanding it, or it's something else entirely. Just my experience, man.

Very playable builder which has a really positive and constructive feel to it. If you prefer games that can be played at your own pace without too many hectic situations then this one should please. Some nice depth to the technology and a continual supply of interesting levels to the campaign storyline. Thumbs up!
