The arena combat is fast, flashy, and super easy to pick up for casual button-mashing fun with friends. However, the uncanny realistic art style looks bizarre, the story mode is a slog, and shallow combat mechanics mean the hype wears off once the visual novelty fades.

Very sad how little love this game got from the developers and from the gaming public. Flawed because the developers did not commit to competitive balancing, but very fun and the special effects look great (even if the characters don't). Good game.
