Even after the collapse of Alexander’s empire, the Greek city states fought to maintain their independence and control their destiny. Athens and Sparta continued to assert their influence in the Aegean while the great city of Syracuse sought to dominate Sicily. In Magna Graecia, a new content pack for Imperator: Rome, you can relive this time of cities defying empires, as Rome grows, Carthage threatens and the heirs of Alexander gaze hungrily over the horizon.
The Magna Graecia content pack includes:
New Greek Missions: New missions and interactions available for Athens, Sparta, and Syracuse.
New Deities: 12 new Greek deities tied to historical Holy Sites across the Greek world.
Apotheosis: A popular ruler from a prestigious family may choose to proclaim themselves, or a revered ancestor, as a god, and be welcomed into the State Pantheon. Elevate enough rulers and you may institute the Imperial Cult government form.
Sacred Treasures: A set of revered historical and divine relics with a hellenistic theme can be collected and placed in Holy Sites, providing powerful effects. If you sack an enemy’s Holy Sites or capital, there is a chance you might capture these special artifacts.

This is a good DLC model, provide the (substantial, in 1.4's case) core mechanical changes in a free patch, and provide extra content and flavour via a content pack. The missions are fun and the unit models are well detailed (the cretan one is gorgeous). just as a message to anyone else here, when reviewing this, make sure it's on the merits of the content on offer here, and not some bug that annoyed you from the base game.

Price is reasonable. Flavor is always a good way to do DLC because it doesn't unbalance the game. I do wish a little more "history" had gone into this. By this point in time Pergamon, Rhodes, and Syracuse were the most powerful Greek City States by far. Athens and Sparta have been irrelevant for 100 years. Massalia (Marseilles), Cherson/Theodoro(Crimea), Corinth, Kydonia in Crete, or even Tarentum would have been more realistic options.

Trash. If you add political factors to a game, you will spoil it. Paradox not only do this, but also never listen to players. If you buy this game, you can do nothing, including refund, when Paradox add something you don't like to it. Paradox Interactive should close down.
Imperator: Rome - Magna Graecia Content Pack
This decently priced DLC adds some more depth to Greek city states. We got new mission trees, relics, deities tied to Greek cultures/sites/colonies around the Mediterranean, and we even got an option to elevate especially successful characters to godhood, officially adding them to the pantheon and giving us some good bonuses. Overall, a good DLC that probably should have been in the game from the start.

Imperator Rome 2.5 is a 8.5/10 game and probably one of the best PDX-Games out there. Nothing like it was at release. Invictus Mod is the unofficial expansion mod that got help from official devs. Its a must have and worth about 2DLCs of additional content. It is a 9/10 game with this. Go get it! This game should be revived again!
