The Tac upgrade is alright for the very beginning, as of the current build (0.4.0.3) the weapons included are outclassed pretty quickly, and arguably the M4 the game gives you at start (with the current build) is more...

The Tac upgrade is alright for the very beginning, as of the current build (0.4.0.3) the weapons included are outclassed pretty quickly, and arguably the M4 the game gives you at start (with the current build) is more versatile/better. The armor and gear will probably last in some way to your second area to find better gear, the locker upgrade is a good permanent bit though, and the NVGs are nice for not running a tac light all the time.
