Climbing is challenging: each wall feels like a boss fight. A thrilling challenge for those eager to test themselves, but you can also adjust the difficulty to customise your experience.
Manage your resources to survive during the long ascent: pitons, chalk, finger tape... but also food, water and medicine. Set up bivouacs and explore the mountain to find resources to reach the summit.

game's really good except for when you make a 50 meter climb then try to climb the easiest 3 meters ever and the professional climber turns in to a drunk senior citizen with 0 grip and it throws you down to your death...

Could've been just a simple climbing game and it would have been good but nope they went the whole extra 10 miles and made a very sensational story with very well written characters, not to mention the phenomenal soundtracks and where it plays, it added so much to the whole experience. I love Aava so much.

It's extremely unique, fun, and meditative. It's able to convey a sense of awe and respect for the beauty of nature, and that's pretty rare in a video game. Beyond the vibes, it's just an engaging, if sometimes awkward, physics simulation. A bit glitchy at times, but it doesn't detract much at all.

One of the best short stories, and games i have ever had the pleasure of be apart of and playing. the suspense, the literal atmosphere of the game. every climb calculated, every resource valuable, i chose the summit ending and was shocked and awed, happy and sad. truly a one of a kind game and story in my opinion!
