astonishingly mediocre game for them to be claiming "worlds first AAAA game" worth the $3 i paid for it, not much more. Nothing to do besides decent ship battles that run out of luster very quickly the on foot stuff is 100% an afterthought tacked on. Feels clunky and massively underdeveloped, even after being out for 2 years now. Abandonware

Actually, it's not as bad as people make it. I was pleasantly surprised. Solid ship combat mechanics, a good amount of different things to do, and a nice atmosphere. Definitely no AAAA-quality, probably not even AAA, but good enough to spend a few hours alone or with friends. It goes on sale every now and then for less than $5. Wait for it and give it a try.

Slow and grindy in the beginning but accelerates to really fun naval combat sailing around the world. Buy Premium Edition when it is discounted to the lowest to get a lot of stuff. Even gave me the option at a certain point to accelerate to Kingpin status and gave me a Brigantine with the weapons to load it so I can farm in World 1 and eventually get to World 2. Collected Smuggler Marks to get a Galleon.

There has been a black screen bug that they can't be bothered to fix for years. If you use HDR, thing that will display is the UI. I played it at launch on the Ubisoft Launcher, and this issue existed then. I thought I would give it a try now on Steam, and this is still a problem. It might seem like a minor issue, but it's pure carelessness on their end to let this perpetuate this long.
