The "Campaign" mode teaches you the game basics while allowing you to experience a unique story in the heart of Ancient Egypt. Explore all aspects of life in a thriving city, build and manage all its fundamental elements to ensure it flourishes: the economy, internal and external trade, culture, health, agriculture, education, etc.
The journey back in time is really brought to life with this new version, which upgrades the gameplay mechanics to modern standards and completely redesigns the captivating soundtrack and gorgeous isometric 2D graphics.
Many indicators have also been added or improved: keep better track of the frequency or quality of the Nile's floods with the Nilometer, or don't lose sight of your population's mood with some unique new tools!

Played this as a kid. It's still so hard to complete missions but boy is it fun. Unlike Tropico it's more of a rule your kingdom right rather than as you wish.

This game feels nothing like the original Pharaoh, it is vastly different in every way but but the egyptian theme and similar city building concepts. If you are thinking of buying this based on it being as good as Pharoah was ... I don't think you are going to like what you get frankly. I put hundreds of hours in the original, this is a poor imitation at best, not a true successor of that great game. Impossible to recommend whether you played the original and especially if you did.

I put hundreds of hours in the original, this is a poor imitation at best, not a true successor of that great game. Impossible to recommend whether you played the original and especially if you did.
