You are the protagonist of the story. Choose your appearance, voice, motions, and favorite dish with the new character creation feature!
Restore your hometown through town building. Invite companions and allies to live in a town of your creation!
Engage in exhilarating and strategic command battles. Choose from over 30 allies to form a party comprised of up to eight characters!
Use Path Actions to invite people to your town, engage in battle, and obtain items. Where you go and what you do is entirely up to you.
Equip action skills with the new skill system. These skills can be learned by allies and passed on to others.

A much longer main storyline than Octopath 1 and 2, and more linear too which is easier for player to understand. 2DHD art style with the snow is stunning. Only downside is too many characters and some of their jobs are repetitive, rather to halve the character numbers to add more stories to each of them. Overall a good game.

Yeah.. no. The story seems to be written by a 13-year old who just discovered shock value plot twists. Real tired of this "pity the obviously evil person" bs. On top of that there are no weapon sprites, no sprites for any gear at all in fact. No advanced or hidden classes too, it seems. Hard pass. Don't be like me and waste your money on this. Octopath 2 had some questionable stories and gameplay decisions, but this is another level of stupid I can not put up with.

I like the series, it's a fine game, but can we stop with the trope of letting war criminals walk free because "more bloodshed won't solve anything"? The characters in this game baacially just let Hitler go back to running Germany because he stopped killing people for a couple of days. Not really exaggerating. 🤦♂️

Overal: 9.4/10 ------------------------------------- Story: 8.5/10 Art: 10/10 Mechanics: 9/10 Music: 9.5/10 VA: 10/10 ---------------- So many characters to choose from. Really enjoy octopath mechanics and this one a little bit different from the first two games but I ended up liking it. I do missed secondanry classes tho.

Great rpg. I am having a lot of fun. The only thing i dont understand is why the story doesn’t scale with your level. I only finished two of the three so maybe it scales later? Anyway that aside i still am enjoying it.
