Halls of Torment is a horde survival game with a pre-rendered retro look reminiscent of RPGs from the late 90s. Choose one of many hero characters and descend into the deadly Halls of Torment. Fight unholy horrors from beyond and survive wave after wave of enemies until you face one of the tormented Lords. Strengthen your hero with character traits, abilities, and items. great-looking game but the buildcraft is just not exciting; which is the whole reason to play any bullet heaven game.
Great game that pays homage to one of the greatest of all time with wonderfully recaptured atmosphere, looks, and feel. It's one I find myself returning to, and I know I'll continue to. Highly recommend.

It’s a bit like Vampire Survivors, but it manages to be much slower, more grindy and buggy. The worst bit is the achievements system, several of them depend on enemies or events that simply refuse to appear. Instead of playing, you spend hours praying that the RNG will be kind to you.

There is something about this game, which makes me love it, even though it's flaws continue to bug me. Sure, it's extremely unfriendly to beginners, and it takes a lot to get your feet moving, but once you figure it out, progress is so much more rewarding than easier/ simpler titles. *The slime enemies look like moving turds. No redeeming qualities there.

Great game that pays homage to one of the greatest of all time with wonderfully recaptured atmosphere, looks, and feel. It's one I find myself returning to, and I know I'll continue to. Highly recommend.

If you are a fan of rogue like games like Crimsonland or Vampire survivors you will definitely enjoy this game. Each class feels very unique and the additions of armor on top of abilities/skills make this game have tons of replay value. I love testing out different builds and the difficulty scales depending on what you have unlocked so going back and playing the starter levels feels unique and fun each time. This game also works flawlessly on the Steam Deck so bonus points for that!
