Red Dead Redemption is a great game, but the PC release is not worth $50. The story is amazing, the characters are memorable, and it's still one of the best western games ever made. However, this is a game that originally came out in 2010, and the improvements don't justify the full price. If you've never played it before, it's worth picking up on sale. At $50, I'd wait for a discount.

John Marston’s tragic journey through the dying American frontier is backed by crisp gunplay, memorable encounters, and the endlessly satisfying Dead Eye shooting mechanics. The atmospheric world feels genuinely alive, whether you're hunting wildlife, playing poker in a saloon, or tracking down outlaws. Minor visual aging aside, its narrative drive and rock-solid gameplay make it an absolute must-play.

Holds up very well! The visual upgrade is perfect in that it still lets you know the age of the game, while it keeps the feeling. The biggest problem are some missions, like in every other Rockstar game, require a bit of luck to get right. A bit less than GTA IV I would say, but more than GTA V. I think, everything else is excellent.
