The game doesn't support Steam cloud saves, instead you have to use the Ubisoft Connect cloud save system which only allows you to upload 1 save at a time and if you click the wrong button it will overwrite your current save with an older one from the cloud. Terible design, I've lost several hours of progress and I don't understand why they don't just support Steam cloud saves. Other than that, it's a great metroidvania with some classic Prince of Persia influence.

This is one of the games that totally blew my expectations.. The game is absolute perfection & my first entry to the Metroidvania genre, haven't had this much fun playing a game in a good while.. I totally recommend this game even though it is from Ubisoft, a studio known for producing the worst games in the past decade, to my surprise this is the complete opposite.

Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is one of the best Metroidvania games I have played. The movement and combat mechanics feel smooth, the anime-style boss fights are incredible, and the story kept me interested until the end. I also played the DLC and loved the extra challenge it added. Every boss fight felt exciting and rewarding. An easy recommendation.

It's criminal that Ubisoft disbanded this dev team. TLC is so, so good. Features easily the best platforming (movement options and platforming gauntlets) of any metroidvania, the ability to pin screenshots on your map is excellent, good suite of challenges to take on after the main game, the combat is pretty fun and the story is not terrible.
