In this expansion for Talisman: Digital Edition, mysterious new forces have emerged in the form of long-dormant behemoths and titans of Talisman. These beasts are roaming the land, causing havoc in their wake and attacking any adventurer foolish enough to cross their paths.
With 27 Beast Reward Cards to collect, there’s plenty of glory for those brave enough to hunt it down! Use your newly acquired weapons to give you an edge over your opponents as you fight your way to the Crown of Command!
It’s not just the beasts that have been awoken though, something is rising from long forgotten depths... The quest for the Crown is no longer the main concern of heroes when the titans of Talisman finally wake from their slumber!

Increase your skills by killing a wide range of different animals, to add to your catalogue! By killing different monsters and beasts, you’ll grow more powerful as this adventurer. You’ll also draw one more adventure card than normal, increasing the chances of finding fiendish monsters to add to your collection!Trophy Hunter
It’s hunting season! Sell your unneeded trophies for gold, and gain bonus rewards when you use your Trophies to increase your strength. You also have a bonus whenever fighting ancient beasts, making you the perfect candidate to take on these mighty monsters!

You have not played talisman until you've been road-killed by a giant dinosaur who has a touch of the tisms, and a klepto-maniac crab.

Might be my favourite Talisman expansion. The Beasts have a huge impact on play without slowing it down, great variety and strong flavour.

This expansion pack adds super hard monsters and more challenges to the game. The monsters don't just sit there, they come after you and eat other monsters on the board, among other things. Very cool, recommend for a challenge.

let us disable the apex conditions and this could be an okay expansion, as it is it's completely miserable. getting the spider beast early in a 2 player game and having no way to fight back against it just made us quit out of the game early because we could see quite clearly that there was nothing we could do. again, let us disable the apex conditions and it isn't nearly as much of an issue

It's not the best expansion but it grew on me. There are some impressively hard beasts and it definitely adds some challenge. As with all of the expansion DLCs, you can try before you buy - there's one that can be played for free every week, and it changes every Monday. Or, you can keep setting your computer clock ahead a week until you find the one you want to play.

Terrible expansion. The variety in the power level of the Ancient Beasts is just too wide - some will just be a nuisance of sorts, others will put your game on a clock you can't control and ♥♥♥♥ over whatever strategy or narrative you had going.
