Fatshark continues its series on the new Skitarius class for Warhammer 40,000: Darktide — this time on character creation and customization. Because of the Skitarii's cybernetic nature, the team built a brand-new body type and showed for the first time what Adeptus Mechanicus warriors look like beneath their robes and hoods.
Instead of skin and face color, there are different options: a choice of origin forge world (including Branx Minor, tied to Atoma), bionic-lens colors, mechanical arm and leg models with tuning for metal type and oxidation. These details stay visible with any cosmetic and show in first person.
A standout feature is voice modulation: the class has four voice personalities, each finely tunable via three parameters — pitch, delay effect and distortion — with changes audible in real time. The Skitarius Alpha Primus class launches June 23.
