Battlestate Games released patch 1.0.5.0 with the in-game "Icebreaker" event and the "Boreas" story chapter. How a Paradigm Shipping icebreaker became trapped in Tarkov's blockade — and what happened to its crew — is for players to find out.
Icebreaker is a separate location for 1–3 players, available in all modes: you fight only AI opponents, with no random players added. The expedition focuses on exploration and PvE, and the loot promises to be worth your time.
The patch also added a mechanic to help find quest items (an expanded pointer near their spawn), new notifications for flare extractions, an experimental graphics setting to offload the CPU, and new USEC Gen 4 and BEAR Slavianka customization kits.
