Modern Warfare 4 DMZ: explore the Hajin exclusion zone

Activision detailed DMZ — Call of Duty's signature extraction shooter, returning in Modern Warfare 4 in a more advanced form. It's set in the Hajin exclusion zone where the Russian and Korean borders meet: as shadow CIA agents, players recover abandoned military tech before it falls into enemy hands.

Hajin is one of the largest environments in series history: a city, a prison, a military base and a radioactive reactor, with dynamic weather, hidden zones and stashes. Expect story missions continuing the MW4 campaign, dynamic ops, side jobs and free exploration, with the threat level rising in response to your squad — up to elite squads and Deathstalker helicopters.

Between raids, players build up an FOB: a 3D printer for crafting gear, storage, a Gunsmith, a shooting range, a boss board and a trait system for permanent operator progression. PvP ties into a bounty and notoriety system, and improved proximity chat lets you negotiate — or betray.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 launches on PC via Steam on October 23, 2026. Pre-orders are open, with more info at the Xbox Games Showcase and in new CODPOD episodes.
