For the Warhammer Skulls festival, Saber shadow-dropped the Purgation Update — the thirteenth patch for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2. The update is free and available now on Steam.
The highlight is a new PvE operation in the heart of the Kadaku swamps, where the water gradually inflicts the corruption of Chaos, plus the biggest siege-mode update yet: reworked progression, blessings and redemptions, new shop items, and bosses now including a Hive Tyrant and a Mutalith. Also added are a training arena on the barge, the new Bolt Carbine Sidearm weapon, heroic gear and gear sharing.
Second season pass owners got an Iron Hands chapter pack for free: a Techmarine champion skin, an Omnissian axe skin and four mechanized armor elements. And everyone could try the game during a free weekend.
