SteamWorld Build is a casual city-building and dungeon-management cross-over set in the SteamWorld universe. It offers a unique and accessible entry to both genres, alongside charming hand-drawn art and a delightful soundtrack.

Good concept; City builder + mining. You city supports your mining, and you need mining to grow your city. It is a casual game, so it is pretty easy. The big con is there is no real game depth; this is not Craft the World (mining) or Anno (city building). I have hundreds of hours in the above games, 15 in this one. The first map takes about 7 hours. The next map is bigger but all the same concepts apply; bigger city, more miners, more buildings

A really lite-fusion of Anno and some small elements of Dungeon Keeper. I picked it up for a couple of quid and had a lovely time playing through the story. Didn't feel like building a second town after I finished that. The underground sections are a bit too limited - the game gates you off from really building anything down there and it's more of a tower defence by the end. Still - it's a charming little game and definitely worth a play!

I would categorize this as a "cozy" game along with typical farming games, so the "relaxing" tag is very appropriate. It is not difficult or stressful, some may find it boring, but it has certain elements that make it satisfying, like reaching milestones and the mining activities. It does get a little repetitive after a while, but all in all, it's a nice polished game to help you chill for an hour or two. The graphics are also very nice and cute, like a little toy town.
