Ever since 2019, when I first played Slay the Spire, I’ve dreamt of creating my own deckbuilding game. In Trap Master, as a youthful ninja, you will assemble a unique deck of traps and powers, discover treasure of surprising effects, and guard a different base each time until you are ready for the unforgiving boss.
Face off against 40+ types of enemies and defend over 100 bases. Shoot, scorch, slice. Punch, pierce, poison. Bounce monsters into water to drown them. Summon warriors to fight them. So many traps and tricks to exterminate waves of incoming enemies!
Collect cards to craft the deck of your choice. Start from a few basic trap cards, and expand to a versatile deck that could stop a variety of enemies in different terrains. Find powerful synergies with over 100 traps and skills, and test your strategy on the field!
Choose your path and encounter curious events that can change the course of your run. Unfold the dark secrets behind the relentless assaults, and study what it takes to become THE Trap Master.

There's a pretty interesting game here, but - even after 1.0 release - it is massively bogged down by poor translations (or sometimes nonexistent translations - there's plenty of untranslated strings and text in the g...

Was hoping for a less buggy full-release before I submitted a review. Unfortunately, not the case.

Great combo of deck building/upgrading and tower defense. Game has the 'just one more round' effect woven into its DNA> Suck a ton of time into it already and keep coming back for more. Highly recommended.

Edit:16 hours in and still enjoying every minute! This game is very well put together. Some of the combos are game breaking, and man do i LOVE THAT! This is one of those games that should not be as good as it is. It has all the great parts that, when put together, create a whole new game that i never thought i would enjoy as much as i do. I look forward to seeing this game shine!

There's a pretty interesting game here, but - even after 1.0 release - it is massively bogged down by poor translations (or sometimes nonexistent translations - there's plenty of untranslated strings and text in the game), inconsistent application of special modifiers, buffs and debuffs, a reliance on a fairly unpredictable physics system, and a relative sparsity of content. Solid base, poor execution.

Probably my favorite tower defense and roguelite crossover i've played. I will say that the new game plus difficulties aren't very fun. At some point bosses aren't able to be stunned and start teleporting out of stun traps but they're so tanky that you have to rely on the same cheap ♥♥♥♥ to kill them. On difficulty 7 the enemies get so fast that the horses get flung over push back traps so you've gotta just eat that damage.
