Solarpunk is a survival game in a technologically advanced world of floating islands. Alone or together with 4 friends, you can construct buildings, grow food, craft gadgets and explore distant islands with your own airship.
Use sunlight, wind and water to create an energy system and automate your processes like gathering resources and watering your plants.
Design your dream home base with a wide range of materials and decorations. You’re free to build cozy spaces, add tiny details, and make your island feel just like home.

Generate electricity using wind and solar energy. Weather conditions affect how much energy you produce, so you’ll need to plan ahead. Store energy in batteries and use wireless power to keep your base running smoothly.
Play solo or with friends. Everyone has their own inventory, and you can decide whether to build something together or create your own little corner in the sky.
In Solarpunk, you live in symbiosis with animals. There is no exploitation, only coexistence. Pigs, for example, will dig up truffles if treated well. Growing fruits and vegetables is your main source of food. Plant seeds in the ground and harvest them once they’re fully grown.
Automate your tasks using transport drones to gather resources, giving you more time to build and explore your skybound home.
Each player can build their own airship. Use it to travel to surrounding islands and discover new resources.

Refunded this as soon as possible when I realized that this very clearly is an Alpha game that is sold as a 1.0. It might be very fun to play in a few years, but its just not up to "1.0" standards.

This game does not do anything mechanically more interesting than other survival games. You are in for a 20+ hour loop of pick stuff up, combine it with other stuff to unlock the next part of the game, and repeat. What sets it apart is the "Solar Punk" aesthetic, which is what I bought it for. I wanted to live the fantasy of having a self sustaining existence somewhere with nice views. On that the game delivers.

I played on relaxed mode, didn't see the incentive to stress about food and storms and inventory loss. no pressure, no demands, no time crunch, just gentle self directed game play unlock all the things, explore all the places, build what you like Gathering resources can be slow going, I enjoyed the pace. This was a chill game for decompressing and slowing down. Don't look away when flying though! Flying needed all my attention!

For 23€ you get game with no story, no ending, unlimited bugs, no customize characters, no pause option (game continues even if you press ESC button...), no photo mode, no save option (its "automatic"), only good thing its idea of the game, and if you are lucky you can get all of this on sale...

Easily one of the best games I've played. I would say it's not a very long game at the moment, but everything about it is really satisfying. It have a huge amount of potential for improvements and new content, so I can't wait to see what the devs will do for this game.

Refunded this as soon as possible when I realized that this very clearly is an Alpha game that is sold as a 1.0. It might be very fun to play in a few years, but its just not up to "1.0" standards.
