Capcom announced the release date for Onimusha: Way of the Sword — September 25, 2026. A fresh trailer takes us to Mount Oe near Kyoto, famed for its wild nature and folklore: it's there that Musashi clashes with the legendary oni Shuten Doji.
At the same time, a free demo launched on Steam featuring an early section of the game: the Kiyomizu-dera temple stage, parries and deflections, the Issen technique, soul absorption and Oni weaponry, capped by a fight against Musashi's formidable rival, Sasaki Ganryu.
Those who keep a save from the demo get the Kubi Akari talisman in the full game. Note: you can't continue the full game from the demo save, and the demo itself differs in places from the final version.
