Backrooms: Escape Together celebrates the release of A24's Backrooms film (premiering May 29, 2026) with a special limited-time in-game event, created in an official collaboration with the studio.
A new anomaly appeared on Level 0 — "The Blue Tape Threshold." Step through the wall of blue tape and you'll find yourself in a living room with a working TV. A new item is scattered around Level 0 — a VHS tape: bring it to the living room and insert it into the TV to watch an exclusive clip of the upcoming film.
The event runs through Friday, June 12, and the tape stays with you even after it ends — don't forget to grab yours.
