For the first anniversary of Assassin's Creed Shadows, Ubisoft published a big overview of the franchise's 2026 plans. Over the year, Shadows received many updates based on player feedback — including parkour refinements — and now enters its final support phase: updates will be smaller and less frequent, but "with a couple of surprises."
There's more to come: Codename HEXE from Ubisoft Montreal promises a unique, darker story experience; Codename INVICTUS is a PvP multiplayer project from For Honor veterans; work continues on Assassin's Creed Jade, and there are plans to bring co-op back to the series.
Ubisoft is also preparing news about a live-action Assassin's Creed series for Netflix, and Assassin's Creed Unity received a free 60 FPS patch on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5.
