I love this game. It has a bit of a steep learning curve at first, but there's so much I still haven't mastered after 100 hours of play. It's challenging, but also very satisfying to play.

Moo. I had to alter the games xml files to make it playable, so that you could actually have some sort of movement in the game. Changes included race traits, research costs, and a few other minor tweaks. I cannot believe the base game is so slow without making adjustments. Kinda disappointed because i had several false starts, only to finally get a good start after altering the files. This game needs work and love and a few more updates to be playable out of the box.

Stardock has always held a special place in my heart and GalCiv 4 is no different. It has quickly became one of my favorite games, much like GalCiv 2 did many years ago. It is a ton of fun and deeply immersive. I have to force myself to stop playing this game during some of my play sessions. I am looking forward to Federations and Empires DLC as well as more season 2 content in the future. Note To Stardock Devs: I would love to see Native Linux support in the future.
