The game really nails the vibe. Gotham looks great, all dark and rainy and cinematic. The humor just kind of sneaks up on you. Batman is taking everything way too seriously, villains are acting completely unhinged, and the whole thing plays it straight enough that it somehow gets funnier the longer you play. Honestly, it’s just fun in that simple way where you’re not overthinking anything and you’re just breaking stuff, laughing a bit, and wondering how it’s already midnight again.

The fifth installment in the Arkham series is truly incredible. Yes I acknowledge and love Arkham Origins. No I will not acknowledge Suicide Squad KTJL. Please buy this game. Thank you.

7 year old me would be in tears; this is an absolute masterpiece. They turned Arkham Batman into a LEGO game and it's amazing. The open world, combat, the suits and vehicles, missions and basically everything else in this game is phenomenally done and 20 year old me couldn't be happier to have spent $90 on this

This game is one big love letter to Batman fans especially those who watched the shows or movies. It is also a fantastic game utilizing a more simplified but still enjoyable Arkham style formula with just enough depth to keep things fresh and interesting. Completionist and collector types will have a field day completing the bat cave unlockables.
