Description

You are a slugcat. The world around you is full of danger, and you must face it – alone. Separated from your family in a devastating flood, you will need to find food and shelter between terrifying torrential downpours which threaten to drown all life. Climb through the ruins of an ancient civilization, evade the jaws of vicious predators, and discover new lands teeming with strange creatures and buried mysteries. Find your family before something makes a meal of you!

Inspired by the simplicity and aesthetics of 16-bit classics, this survival platformer requires clever decision-making, both to catch your own prey and to avoid the jaws of hungry predators. Each ravenous foe in your path will be cunning, vicious and always on the hunt – eager to sink their teeth into you, or even each other. As a small, soft slugcat you must rely on stealth and wit rather than force: learn the ecosystem and turn their strengths to your advantage. Maybe then you can survive… Rain World!

The ending of rainworld is the most beautiful game ending ever, the only game ever to compel me to leave a review

Literally a buddhist immersive sim. You need to use your brain and try new ideas / game systems. Specially when playing it blind. The learning curve is more like a wall, most wont finish the game 'cause of the difficulty. A map layout with 3 levels of depth that makes it complex to navigate. Really cool lore. Well applied into the world, art and gameplay. Cute slug-guy-fela-cat-pup. A BEAUTIFUL ARTSTYLE (And if you're good enough, you can be the apex on the planet)

the game has a very nice learning curve and the enviroment is veryyy beautiful. the ecosystem thing makes the game feel very immersive, though the game is directed to a very specific target audience, since the game is very difficult and the controls are a little confusing. overall this game is a 9/10 from my current expirience and a 10/10 if you like walking around getting to know an immersive world.

One of the most interesting and engaging games. The fantastic atmosphere and music make it impossible to tear yourself away.

Really brutal, you're thrown in blindly into an alien deadly world. But then for me the game gets a bit too repetitive and grindy, as you have to repeat the same long travel whenever you die, and then you have to farm karma points back up. On the other hand, the art style, the eerie atmosphere and the constant feeling of mystery is what kept me going.

I've played this game back then before downpour existed and it's still awesome small slugcat climbs into an AI Datacenter to ask a robot, goes into the depths and becomes a higher being
