If you can - get it in bundle with main game or on huge discount - this is worst DLC of all three unless you really enjoy fighting over and over again...

Short (3-4hours tops) DLC that mostly focuses on arena combat, unlike in most games battles are more than just different sets of regular enemies, which make them unique, for example. there are certain terrain obstacle...

Why is this even a DLC-? One new area with arena combat and about 7-8 waves to fight of random enemies, with a joke of a boss at the end. This should have been a side quest, not a payed DLC.

While I thought at first they were trying to implement some form of Hunger Games / Battle Royale - szenario into the Deadfire world, it turns out to be a boring arena throwing waves of enemies at you. There is nothing...

Fights fights fights fights. Also fights. This would be cool if the strength of Pillars was combat, but it most certainly is not, as this expansion demonstrates. There's really nothing here besides tons of very long, often tedious fights.

Short (3-4hours tops) DLC that mostly focuses on arena combat, unlike in most games battles are more than just different sets of regular enemies, which make them unique, for example. there are certain terrain obstacles, party's strength being limited, 'book events' etc. We get to learn a bit of Galawain related lore, so there is some more background behind all the hacking and slashing. If you liked the base game, go for it on some discount, if not, by skipping it, you don't lose much.

While I thought at first they were trying to implement some form of Hunger Games / Battle Royale - szenario into the Deadfire world, it turns out to be a boring arena throwing waves of enemies at you. There is nothing new or groundbreaking about it, aside from those tedious fights, its a bunch of side quests and a few of those scripted encounters. I wouldnt recommend it at all.
