DRAGON QUEST XI S is the last entry in the legendary RPG series from creator Yuji Horii, character designer Akira Toriyama and composer Koichi Sugiyama. A young man, about to participate in his village’s coming of age ceremony, travels to a sacred stone alongside his childhood friend. After a series of unexpected events, this intrepid adventurer learns he is the reincarnation of a legendary hero from a forgotten age.
The young hero sets forth into an unknown world on a journey to unravel the mystery of his past… but the welcome he receives is far from warm. Upon revealing his identity to the King, the hero is branded as “The Darkspawn” and hunted by a relentless army.

The devs placed their work of art into a nicer frame is how i would describe the definitive edition. Even with dated specs, this game looks great even on lower settings. Bought this also on switch because i love it so...
It's a cozy long form jrpg, from what I've played it's easily worth the $20 I paid. I love the Toriyama stylized character and monster designs. Some of the enemies are so cute you almost feel bad about defeating them.

Love the game so much! Feels like the other games while having its own spark to it. The characters and story are made so well. It's a great game that you should try.

It's a cozy long form jrpg, from what I've played it's easily worth the $20 I paid. I love the Toriyama stylized character and monster designs. Some of the enemies are so cute you almost feel bad about defeating them.
